I'm sure this is higher because I don't think FP is making it anymore (last summer's toy) but although it's a good toy, it's not $40 worth of a good toy.

We followed the directions and the toy was not abused. I would have thought it would have lasted at least a season. I will not buy another.

(More customer reviews)I saw this product recommended in Family Fun magazine and thought it would be a fun game for the pool.
I ordered 2 Hot Potato Splash games - one as a gift and one for my children. My children (ages 4 and 7) played with their game in the pool for only 2 days and it is already broken. The foam face where you press the button has already split and the toy is filled with water, so now it doesn't work. I actually feel bad that I already gave one away as a gift.
What a disappointment. [...] bucks (including the tax and shipping) on 2 games, that only last a couple days each, was such a waste of money.

(More customer reviews)We opened this during our hot Summer...what a sad excuse for a toy! The arms never did connect properly...no twirling, not even any decent water sprinkling. When the hose connects, nothing except spurting a bit out of the top, arms do not even come into play. Cheap plastic rips if you look at it wrong.
My children quickly ignored it, and our dog used what was left as a chew toy!

His 3rd birthday is coming up in July and it's amazing how good he's become at whacking the ball off the tee. He'll definitely be ready to join a T-ball league soon, and this playset definitely gave him the practice. As far as outdoor games, this is definitely a must. Great fun all around.
The set came with the tee, a bat and two white balls. The set is entirely made of plastic. In a year, the set still looks good as new.
Highly recommended.
