US Games Juggling Balls Review

(More customer reviews)I was pleasantly surprised by the nice feel of these balls --- they make it easy to juggle, and they don't bounce too much when you let one drop. They might not last forever (looks like 2 rubber pieces which were glued together), but for this price they are quite okay. I only give it 4 stars because the small pamphlet which comes with it doesn't really help to advance juggling skills.

(More customer reviews)First off, not all contact juggling balls are the same. I heard stories of acrylic balls being unbalanced and thus making working with the defective ball extremely tough. So I guess it would depend on which seller you purchase the balls from.
This review is of a black 2.95 inch (76 mm) acrylic ball purchased from ROCK RIDGE SALES, INC.
Scratches and tellmarks: This ball was free from any scratches and tellmarks and was received well-wrapped (first in cellophane, then with a plastic ziplock bag, and finally bubble-wrapping around that).
Balance: I rolled the ball several times on a plate of flat glass and the ball did not wobble in the slightest. The balance is perfect.
Weight: Acrylic itself is heavier than most other CJ ball materials (metal excluded), and this ball's weight is as expected for a ball of this size.
All acrylic balls are susceptible to scratches, marring, and cuts if dropped on a hard surface or banged against a wall. When practicing a new technique, it's best to use a baseball/softball or stageball, or even better, a Sil-X ball. If you wish to practice with the acrylic ball, try to do so over carpeting or on a bed (just make sure the ball won't roll off the bed), and keep low to the ground (eg. practice while kneeling or seated) to reduce the impact of drops.
Overall this ball was received in perfect condition, free of any defects, and performs admirably.
On a side note, this seller also included a two-page instructional sheet with photos explaining how to perform a few rudimentary tricks with the contact juggling ball--which was a thoughtful touch.

(More customer reviews)The only 'problem' with the Fushigi ball is that they're effectively marketing a skill- which requires tons of practice- by telling the public that the result is yielded by the product itself.
It's called 'contact juggling' and it's a really cool thing to watch. There's a gal on Youtube who takes an orange and achieves the very same illusion you see done on Fushigi ball commercials.
Maybe it's a bit mean-spirited of me, but I do kind of snicker at the enormous number of people who think that the Fushigi company has overcome the principles of gravity and put it into some magic ball. This thing is a classic, classic example of 'fools and their money..." Anyone who bought this thing truly believing that it somehow magically floated in the air is a colossal sucker; life for them will be a lot more disappointing than their Fushigi letdown.
I suppose it's a fine contact juggling ball, but just understand that you can do the same thing with any solid sphere and when you buy the Fushigi ball, if you're expecting the results to be as-seen-on-tv, you'd better be prepared to invest an awful lot of time and practice in learning the art itself. There is nothing magic about the Fushigi ball and you will not be able to 'make it float' just by buying one.
