Tekno Bouncing Puppy Review

Tekno Bouncing Puppy
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this model not too long ago and I already noticed that it is not barking nor wimpering as much as it did before. It worked very good the first few weeks after I received the puppy in the mail. It does walk around okay, and I noticed that it likes to look at its' reflection in the refrigerator door. I have heard that Tekno robotic pets will interact with one another so perhaps the reflections of this puppy's eyes being reflected back to it is a kind of "interacting" with itself!!! It does show "emotion" when I pet it under the chin. I noticed that when I put it in my lap and pet it under the chin it shows me that it wants more petting by moving its legs as if it wants to walk, but when I continue petting it under its' chin, it settles down in my lap and stays still!! I guess that in that way it does act like a real pet dog. It also shows emotions of sadness, joy, etc. The red ball does stick to its' mouth and so does the plastic bone. The remote control does work and I can tell if the dog wants to eat or play etc.
It did learn how to negotiate corners though. Before I had to help it out of difficult situations, but now I notice it can move itself free in some sticky situations. It also can move right and left, which is something that it did not do in the first few weeks that I got him.
This puppy did make noises when it was "eating" in the first few weeks when I received it, but I also noticed that it does not always do that. I noticed that this puppy will follow me when I walk in front of it. I think that this 8 week old puppy went from an 8 week old pup to more of an adult dog since it doesn't wimper as much. It doesn't wimper or snore when it goes to sleep as it did when I first received him.
I do find that I am surprisingly kind of fond of it, even though it does have its faults. I know that it is only a toy dog, but sometimes, I do think of it as a real pet which is kind of scary for me. It does like to play, but it loves to be petted as well. It would make a good lap dog for someone who is used to having real pets to pet while watching TV like I am. I do enjoy watching it walk around on its own, playing with it, and seeing that it is getting more intelligent as time goes on. I do wish though that I could have given it more of a "doggy" name than Edgar (the name that it came with). What kind of name is Edgar for a dog?

Hasbro Playskool Busy Beads Pal Review

Hasbro Playskool Busy Beads Pal
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My son received the Busy Beads pal for his 1st birthday, and unfortunately at 12 months this toy just fails to grab his attention. The suggested age range is 6-18 months so maybe if he got it at 6 months it might have been more interesting to him. At this stage he is more interested in sorting things, like blocks etc or colorful sing along toys.

Tekno the Robotic Puppy - Silver Review

Tekno the Robotic Puppy - Silver
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
did a lot of research with the two different robotic dog and even thought the robo dog does many more tricks I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old and the robo dog looked like it could break easily and reviews stated that there was a problem in the back leg. At x-mass we bought both dogs and decided to keep Tekno even thought he did not do as many tricks.
Pros:
Tekno is sturdy and can take a beating :)
For young children under 5 Tekno is a great start on teaching responsibility.
His remote is easy to use and tekno is easy to take care of. I have not had the trouble with things not working although ours has not found a corner and gone to sleep we turn it off at night.
So far he does the tricks that are said he will do (he gets fleas a lot though and you have to give him a bath daily) and it is cute how excited my children get when we get home and as soon as tekno hears us he is walking/barking in our direction and wagging his tail in excitement.
The kids love him and love to pet him. My son said that it is a lot of hard work taking car of a puppy and until he is ready tekno will due (age 4)

Cons-
He barks and whines like a true 8 week old puppy and will not grow from that into an adult. SO if you are a stay home mom all day long the barking can get a little unnerving ( I tend to ignore and it does not bother me but my mother came over and said " Yup that is just like a yippee toy poodle." which she hates.)
on the commercial you see the kid throwing the ball and tekno walking after it, it does not get its own ball. You have to hold it up to the mouth and then let go a couple of times. Not as much fun as a real puppy even the kids wished it was able to play more with them.
it is demanding on affection like a puppy. My kids have to pet it a lot or it will slowly makes its way to them whining.
it does not move fast or turn quickly.( but it does get to where it needs to go and follows noise. It is a slow process. To make it from one part of my house to another takes it ½ a day.
It is a pain to get out of the box you will need wire cutters and strength. And it is not refundable if you do not like it. I might have taken it back and gotten a real puppy if it weren't for my kids falling in love with it. Over all for young children it is a consideration. Robo dog is more suited for 5 and up it does a lot more tricks like rolling over and sitting. But I read reviews about a problem with the back leg and when we went to the store to play with one it had the problem and all the guy did was go get a new one out of the box for their demo. SO keep that in mind with that one. I do not know many people who can keep going and buying new robot dogs because of a faulty leg.
all together my sons words " it doesn't do everything a puppy would but i love him any way. It is just the way God made him!"
I guess the bottom line is it is a robot pick the best one for your age level all have faults if you want it to do everything a dog would get a dog.

The next time your child asks you for a dog, you'll want to say yes. Because unlike real puppies, the Tekno robotic puppy isn't a lot of work -- he's just a lot of fun. He walks forward, backward, right, left, and expresses emotions through color-changing eyes and puppy whimpers. Just like any young pup, Tekno is perfectly content to chomp on his bone and play fetch with his ball. With the included wireless translator, you'll always know exactly what this pooch is thinking and eventually he says several English phrases. He also impresses his audience with a wide selection of tricks, such as dance, speak, sing, and more. Children ages three through eight will be delighted as they learn how to program and work this amazing robotic toy.Return of the Robot Dog Everyone's favorite robotic pet is back with a new design and updated software features. Improved walking animation gives Tekno smooth, realistic movement and magnetic sensors allow him to perform advanced actions. For instance, Tekno loves to be scratched behind the ears or patted on the head. He reacts to sound, sight, and touch, and obeys several radio-controlled commands. Behaviors are launched by pressing the sensors on his head, neck, nose, and side. Children can't resist his floppy ears, wagging tail, and light-up puppy dog eyes. And should you decide Tekno needs an animal companion, he interacts with other robotic puppies. (A small warning: this toy is packaged tightly, so a small screwdriver may be necessary to remove it from the box.) Tekno measures 13-by-10 inches and requires four AA batteries and three AG13 batteries (not included). House-training Tekno When you bring this puppy home, he is programmed to act like a typical eight-week old puppy. As a great toy to teach children about responsibility, he knows how long it's been since he has been fed and he is quick to remind his owner when he needs playtime. This dog's internal clock wakes him up in the morning and he can also wake up your child with an alarm. Light level sensors let Tekno know when its time to sleep and he snores like a real dog. And like most real dogs, this high-tech pet gets smarter as he ages, and soon he will be singing and performing card tricks on command.

VTech Infant Learning Skippy the Smart Pup Review

VTech Infant Learning Skippy the Smart Pup
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If there were any way possible to not give it any stars, I would do that. It does say that one star means that you HATE IT so I guess that works. My son too loves dogs so I thought I would get this because what it says it does sounded pretty cute, HOWEVER, it DOES NOT do it!!! It never finds the bone nor follows my child like it says. I think that it is designed to run into walls and get stuck on chairs as its main task. It, for me, is one of the most frustrating toys that I have ever bought any of my 6 kids! It does not do what it says it will so DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! I should have read these reviews before I went to get another one to see if I just got a DUD, but nope it does exactly the same things. BEWARE OF SKIPPY THE UNSMART PUP!

Follow me Fred by Tiny Love Review

We took a chance and bought this toy without any reviews, therefore knowing nothing about it. It was a good choice! We've only had it for a little over a week, but it is a popular toy with my 7 month old and even my almost 3 year old. My 7 month old loves to play with his crinkly ears! She still doesn't crawl yet, but it is perfect to help her learn. All you have to do is barely pat the dog and it moves forward. I like that it doesn't go too far to encourage the baby to go after it. It makes cute noises and plays cute songs. You can make the dog go straight or in circles by bending the accordion part of his body. You can also set it so it doesn't move. You have the option of muting it too, which is nice if you get tired of the songs and noises. This is a great "chase and crawl" toy to help babies who are learning to crawl and for those who already do crawl!

Weazel Ball - The Weasel rolls with ball Review

Weazel Ball - The Weasel rolls with ball
Average Reviews:

I saw a Weazel Ball at a store the other day and thought it might be nice - but I should get it online to save a few bucks. After buying this one off Amazon, I should have just bought it at the store. The unit I purchased operates similarly, but is not quite the same.
Peculiar features that make this model less desirable:
-You must open the case to turn the model on-and-off; no external power switch. Plus, it involves removing a battery from a moving/rotating case.
-The case will actually open as it rolls around. This make it hard to keep a toddler entertained for more than a few minutes, and potentially poses a safety hazard.

Waboba® Pro Ball that bounces on water 60mm
This ball is a great value, we have logged over 30 hours of use and still adding to the total.
IT is not a video game! the kids love being in the water and this ball is great entertainment and exercise.
Kids play:
Just plain catch
Keep a way
how many catches in a row
hit each other when not looking
how many bounces
biggest bounce
make sure the dog doesn't get it
you get the idea.
It is pretty durable but they say not to bounce it on the ground or let the dog carry it around.
We are going to try the blast ball next Waboba® Blast Ball pool ball 70mm it will be better for the pool.
Hope this was helpful

D'ya feel like going pro? Wanna master the official game? Then you surely need a set of PRO balls. Pro is made with the official game in mind! It is more stable which makes calculating the direction of the bounce easier. Being heavier and bigger than the extreme ball makes it more accurate Colors may vary. Seriously, throwing a tennis ball or a frisbee while standing in water isn't all that fun. So why not invent something that bounces on water, like a skipping stone that you can catch? And if that is possible, why not invent a game that is fun and challenging but can be played with just the ball, no goals, nothing extra - just the ball? Well, look no further. So, the easiest way to have fun with a Waboba is to simply throw it so that it bounces on the water between you and a friend. Try different angles, catching it with one hand, bouncing it on waves etc. Watch some videos on the [Watch] page to get some inspiration. When practicing, you will soon find out that throwing and catching is fun teamwork which requires some skill. And the Beach Game adds the physical challenge necessary for a great game. Master it!Ages 8+ years. 2 1/4"
