The bocce set was what I had expected but the shipping and follow up was disappointing. The bocce set was shipped in the display box, clearly not strong enough for the heavy bocce set, so when it arrived the box was ripped and torn up. I had contacted the company but they were no help only stating that they often ship in the display box. I won't puchase through them again or use Amazon.

(More customer reviews)I first bought this product early this week and recieved a good deal on over night shipping but when it came to the quality of the product vs. the price it didn't add up to me in my mind. When the product came the balls were in fine condition and quite nice but the carring wooden box was poorly made and had been already falling apart and simply had little structural integrety left. Because of this i decided to return the item for a new one. The service on this return was relativly simple and fast since the balls got picked up the day after i put in for a return for the balls and the replacement set came that same day. But once again the box came in poor condition, already falling apart. The only difference was that it still had descent structural integrety. Im still unsure about keeping this set since it is a faulty product and I really doubt it will ever not be one since this is the second set i have recieved. Although the balls are quite nice, I'd expect a fairly nice carrying case for 80 some bucks. All in all the balls are nice, case is poorly built and faulty and the service was quite impressive.

I returned them.
If you want these to keep some kids busy, fine. Otherwise spend the money to get real bocce balls. These are made from a soft plastic so they don't knock each other around like they should, they just sort of bump. They are water filled and vary from 100% full to half full. So they don't weigh the same or behave the same. That makes it impossible to be consistent.
Completely worthless junk unless, like I said, you need to keep some kids busy. In that case they are very inexpensive fun crap. But don't leave them where they could freeze. I'm sure the ones that are 100% full would crack open if they froze.

Franklin Sports Intermediate 100MM Bocce Set Review

(More customer reviews)We play bocce all the time at our beach house and it was about time to replace the cheap set that my dad had bought a few years ago at one of those "sell junk" beach shops. So for my dad's birthday I decided to up the quality of our game a bit and replace the current plastic/water filled set we had with a new solid and heavier set. My family is by no means great or professional bocce players, but this set was a great addition at a great price. The balls are way heavier (at least triple the weight) than the previous set and are made of an indestructible resin plastic. On the beach they will last forever but I cannot vouch for those who play on asphalt or grass. Also they are about double in size compared to the cheap sets.... more of a softball size vs. baseball size. The blue carrying case is good quality but does get rather heavy if you are trekking it a good distance. The only fault that I find with this set is that you only get one jack (small white ball). However, I can totally look past that for the price and quality you get overall. If you are looking for a mid-tier, and durable set I believe you will love this one. My dad is a frugal 64 year old man and he does.

(More customer reviews)I've brought them to a couple of parties and social events and everyone loves them. The balls light up extremely well and can be seen very easily from far distances. They are made of very strong plastic resin material that can handle heavy impact. They aren't regulation weight, but are good enough and roll well on grassy surfaces. They are also easier for young kids to roll than regulation balls, but also have enough weight to not seem like a cheap toy for adults. My set has about 10 hours of usage time on their lights and are still going strong. I recommend this to anyone, great addition for a party, or a camping trip or outdoor bbq in the backyard. You can't go wrong with a set of glo bocce balls.

(More customer reviews)I have never written an online review like this but we just received these bocce balls and are quite disappointed in their quality so I felt compelled to.
The coloring on the balls is cloudy, uneven and has other blemishes. They were dusty and the etching into the resin is poorly done. The nylon carrying case (not a hard case as mentioned in other reviews) would be ok except that if you take out the cheap thick cardboard box, there's nothing to hold it upright. It's all made in China and poorly in my opinion.
Not going to return them because it's not worth all the hassle. But wanted to provide this info to others.

This is a product purchased from Amazon, not an Amazon seller. Nevertheless, the case is wrapped in a protective cardboard ring. Once this is ripped open and the case is unzipped, the buyer is surprised to find that the balls - every single one of them - are marred in one way or another. Some have blemishes where the resin has been unevenly applied. Others have marks on the balls that might suggest this is a used set if the buyer had not already ripped open the protective cardboard ring. This user would return the set if the shipping were not prohibitively expensive. Save your money.

I have a different set as well that I have had for years but find these better then my old ones. They feel good and roll true. The case allows you to open them and see that they are all there and set up the sets in either two or four colors if you have multiple sets. You can also go to 10 ball sets if needed to accommodate multiple teams using three colors. Great product.
