(More customer reviews)This seller for some reason believes all the furniture in the Night on the Town set is worth $[...]. Not to mention how much more it really costs once shipping charges are added. Why would you buy this huge set without Nolee to which she is exclusive? "Dolls are sold separately" my foot. Mattel included her so you should too. And the price should definitely not be that high, especially without Nolee! Maybe it would be worth it if the Nolee doll was included, but without her it's just a plastic playset. I only gave this item 3 stars because I know it can play CDs, you can plug your iPod into it and it has cool light effects.

Barbie I Love Lucy L.A. at Last Doll - Episode 114 Collector Edition (2002) Review

(More customer reviews)I have eight "I Love Lucy" Barbie Dolls, and this one is by far my favorite. I am very glad that Barbie (Mattel, really) decided to make arguably the best "Lucy" episode into a doll. She is absolutely adorable- her dress is so pretty and her face is just hilarious.
I have one thing to say, though, and it's that the cup in her hands is not attached to her hands (like the Vitameatavegimen doll's is)- it's held on by plastic. Be careful, if you want to take her out of the box, not to remove the plastic that is holding the cup to her hands. Unless, of course, if you want it separate from the doll.
Other than that, I think that this "I Love Lucy" Barbie doll is my favorite one, and I highly recommend choosing this doll to add to- or start- your collection.

Barbie Beach Fun Pool Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great pool! My 4 year old daughter got it [...] Great price when you consider how many accessories it comes with. It's got a serving tray with some food (salad or something) two drinks and a pitcher. It also comes with a camera and 2 pool toys. I'm not sure why Mattel included flowers in a vase, but all in all a great buy! The only problem I have is that the slide, which is actually seperate from the base, the part that snaps in to hold the slide on place broke off, but will be fixed with a little superglue. Still...great buy and this pool has come a long way from the Barbie pools I played with as a kid.

Barbie Generation GIRL - International High School Playset Review

(More customer reviews)I collect barbie sets. The more interesting, the better. I bought this one a long time ago. I thought it was very cool that barbie had a high school! It's alright that it is more of a Generation Girl Spin-Off. The two barbie magazines and Office Lounge pictures dedicate more to the generation girl fashion. Nevertheless, it is still all fashion doll!
This has the front entrance to the school, which is rather sophisticated-looking. There is a mural to the left of that (canvas background pullout) and it is a little student-artsy. The pullout panels are also for the Lounge and Cafeteria. The food dishes are decently detailed. The background shows more nutritious food, than not. More then MY high school had. LOL The Lounge pattern shows a copy machine and fax machine. The furniture pieces are a lunch table, green couch, shelf with computer and another fax machine. There are school magazines, fax papers, a spread sheet and a few other office needs. The lockers do open and you may pull their wall down for fun place to schedule a school dance. It comes with confetti but, I would not use it. Messy, you know.
There are school notices, backdrop patterns of a pay phone and fire extinguisher. What this place does NOT have is a classroom. LOL You'd think that would be the most important thing, that Barbie would push. I guess that's what the extra playsets can be for. It is an awesome high school and I am surprised that nobody has commented on this. Still, I don't see any true educational value.
The intercom and radio hookups are okay. You hear yourself more through speaking, then through the speakers.

Barbie Fashion Fairytale Palace Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter's friend just got this for her birthday. It was hard to put together. If you are going to buy this for christmas, I would take it out of the box and assemble it before christmas. I know some girls love the specfic barbie themes or movies but the house is just not that functional. The house is not deep and the dolls are so large it is hard to play with more then one at a time. If 2 girls each have a barbie and are trying to play on the top floor the house could tip. The elevator on the side does not work as smooth as in the commerical. I got my daughter a wooden barbie house. It is not as decorative as this one but it is sturdy and has depth so 6 babrie could be in one room and multiple kids can play with it. I had a local handyman build the house and it cost less then the retail price of this house and it has held up well and is way more fun for the girls to play with. I would recommend looking into a wood or more sturdy house(or one that is deeper or has larger rooms at least) if it is affordable for you to spend the extra. If you do buy this house, I say spend time assembling it beforehand, and play with it on the floor in case it tips over(if this fell from a table I would question if it would still be usuable).

Liv Dolls - Daniela Review

She was really wanting these dolls badly and was not disappointed at all at. She played with it non-stop.
There seems to be a million strings and things to cut your way through to free the doll from her package, so a need to be patient.
The doll it really very pretty. Very lifelike inserted eyes instead of painted on eyes, they really add a nice touch of realism, and are very well done.
The wigs, my daughters main desire to play with really are also nice and I was surprised. The hair is very soft and silky. I like that all extra wigs come with a "wig head" to store them on, an when not in use, also useful for combing them out.
You will probably need to trim them after your brush them to cleam up some rogue long pieces. It is also very apparent they were cut with a machine, The straight wigs particularly are choppy and even a bit jagged looking, but not something my daughter noticed at all.
At first it seemed a bit difficult to change wigs, there is a hole in the doll's head and a plastic peg in the wig. Then the directions point out you can push your fingers on the wig to pop the wig a bit inside out to easily insert the wig on the doll's head. My Daughter has not needed any help changing the wigs or clothing.
The joints in this doll are pretty wild!! this doll has knee-caps, and rotating wrists and ankles. Very impressive how lifelike you can make movements!! I think that is my biggest concern, how durable are they. My daughter always has played very respectfully with her dolls so I am not as much worried about her breaking it as I am friends who can get a little over-enthusiastic. SO far I can't really see any problems.

She had seen some Bratz dolls at a neighbor's house and really liked those but I refuse to buy my daughter a doll that looks like a prostitute. The Moxie girl dolls are so much better! They have the big, doey eyes, massive amounts of hair, and pouty lips that girls loved on Bratz dolls minus the cleavage and trashy clothing. Plus their little faces are so cute! I also love how their whole foot snaps off instead of having to wrestle with a tiny shoe. My 3 yr old can easily swith out the feet between the different Moxie dolls she has. Very cute dolls!

Somehow I missed the Fred Mertz Christmas doll; maybe it was because my daughter got married in 2009, the year Fred's doll was released. I kinda went a little crazy when I realized just last month that it was out. So I went looking for it(and the doll REALLY looks like Fred Mertz). Amazon seemed to have the best price on it in a perfect box; Christmas tree decorations in the background like the other three. (My husband collects toy trains; I KNOW how important the boxes can be). I'm very happy with what I received; now I have the collection of all four characters in the Santa suit and it makes me smile every time I walk by the shelf on which they stand. Prompt delivery and pristine condition. Pricey, perhaps. But some things are worth it if you want it bad enough. My guilty pleasure!
