(More customer reviews)The description of this product on the website needs to be improved. It lists all the components except that it also contains the arena board too. Had it listed the board, I would not of purchased the arena board separately.
The board is plastic and works well. The Bakugan Battle Brawlers are good and they come randomly - we ended up with only one duplicate in the bunch we got. The cards are in good condition.
After playing with the game, it is clear:
(1) the instructions need to be rewritten
(2) you need more gate cards to have variety
(3) you need more ability cards to have variety
(4) you need more bakugan battle brawlers to have variety

(More customer reviews)My stepson was absolutely thrilled to get this gift. I had not seen it in the stores and neither had he, so it made him feel all the more special. However, the advertising on the box is not exactly what you get inside. While it says 6 pack colors Red and Grey only 4 of the six were red and grey and other two were different colors. It was cool, I was informed by my stepson, that they had the other colors in there, but just in case you were looking specifically for all just a two color combo, it was not in this box.
After being dragged into playing a round or two of this game, I would say it reminds of me souped up marbles. I found it annoying having to flick these action figure balls just right onto cards, but to my 12 year old, it is the best thing since sliced cheese. To each his own I guess.

(More customer reviews)I see that a lot of folks have written with respect to this and other colors of the same product that the bottom tray will not re-insert into the bottom half of the sphere when it is (as it inevitably will be) removed. I was sad to see that one person actually destroyed the sphere by using so much force that they crumpled the bottom half (I think it was a blue one). I'm glad I didn't let my husband try to solve this problem, as that is probably what would have ended up happening.
Folks, the bottom tray easily reinserts if - instead of trying to jam it down with its perimeter lined up with the perimeter of the bottom of the sphere, you instead tilt it at perhaps a 45 degree angle or so and gently press it down and then rotate is so that the two perimeters are lined up. Voila! Please try it.

The Package looks very cheap! I hope X-mas day he and I are not failed by our expectations.
No one wants a child distraught by a gift they look forward too.
We have plenty of Bakugan 'toys' for game-play X-mas day; yet, I figure a traditional board game will be an excellent contrast to the other Bakugan "stuff" he will have, especially when it's one of such popularity. Other web sites have reviews that are quite mixed with satisfaction from top to rock-bottom. Hence, I do not know what to expect. Yet, with the quality and sound of the package and contents . . . this is one gift that worries me.

(More customer reviews)My child received this for their 7th birthday and loved it! However, they love all the Bakugan stuff, so that's not so surprising. That this can be connected to make one big toy is pretty cool, and more single Bakugan balls are coming out that can connect to these also. Bakugan is doing a good job of keeping their ideas fresh, and creative. We don't watch the cartoons, as they are too mean-spirited. The toys by themselves are fine though.
The price point on this is a tad high, which means it ends up being a "special" gift, and not an every day one, so they aren't selling very many. It's obvious a lot of thought and skill goes into creating these plastic balls that "transform" instantly into creatures (when put on any metal surface.
They have already designed more of these- the next one being silver or gray or something.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my son because he wouldn't stop talking about it. I first checked every Walmart and Toys 'R Us in toy and couldn't find a starter or battle pack. They are cute little toys and the game is decently fun for an adult, but the kids are crazy over it. They won't stop playing. My son (almost 6) hasn't touched a video game, watched tv, or played with any other toys since he got it. He just spends all his free time with his Bakugan (haven't decided if this is good or bad).

(More customer reviews)I bought this set for my 4 year old son, who's been talking non-stop about these toys since a classmate introduced them to him. He's not really interested in playing the game, only in 'transforming' the Bakugans and having them 'fight' each other. I was afraid the Bakugans would be very flimsy and would break in no time, but they seem to be pretty sturdy (we've only had them a few days). If they do break, I'm not out a lot of money. I feel the price is very reasonable. I love how portable they are-- he can put them in his pocket and he's ready to go. I think this item is an excellent choice for kids just starting their collection.
