This toy is cute. When you push Elmo's mouth, he says "Jiggly, Giggly! Ha ha ha ha!" as the ball vibrates. Push Cookie Monster's mouth, and he says "Shaky, Shaky! Ha ha ha ha! Whooooa!" If you pay too much attention to Elmo (press him 3 times in a row) Cookie says "Hello?" Likewise, if you press Cookie 3 times in a row, Elmo says, "Elmo's turn!" Push the two together and they say "Giggle Monsters!" and laugh.
This toy is not very soft (it's not plush) and the inner mechanics make it heavier than you would expect. The eyes and Elmo's nose make it pretty useless for rolling. But the sounds and vibrations make my twin 20-month old boys smile, and they play with it on occasion, but it doesn't keep them occupied for long stretches. As for durability, it appears well-made, but I don't think ours has been used enough to really put it to the test.
Overall, it's cute, but I think I like it more than the boys do.

This double-sided ball is filled with bounces, giggles, phrases and wiggles! Press Elmo or Cookie Monster's mouth and the fun starts. Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Singin' Soccer Ball Review

(More customer reviews)I'm constantly looking for good musical toys for my 6mth old son & thought this would be a good for he & my 3yr old daughter to play with together. Of course they're both a little young to truly share it but hopefully that'll develop with time. I like how the ball "encourages" playing together with phrases like "roll me to your playmate back & forth now up in the air". After hearing the songs my daughter asked if her brother was her playmate & if the ball was to be shared so I think it has educational value for her to pick that up (she just throws & rolls to hard for him). She was having so much fun with it that I had to convince her to play with her own toy so let my son have some time with it. My son enjoys it but he has a hard time sitting with it because it's so big in relation to him (but he is only 6mths the minimum age listed). After he invariably falls over he seems to have even more fun rolling around chasing it & gets very upset if it rolls out of his reach. The songs are listenable, i.e. I don't want to tear the batteries out after 5 mins ;-). Overall I think this is a great toy for a baby/ toddler that loves music and one that I believe they can grow into with age.
