(More customer reviews)Our daughter got the pull and spin caterpillar for christmas (she was 9months at the time). At the time she wasn't able to pull it but loved to chase the caterpillar as it was being pulled. Now at 12 months she is able to pull it herself and loves putting just about anything on the back of the caterpillar.
The toy it self has a very cute face and when pulled the eyes and ears move up and down.
The only problem with the caterpillar is the pull string. It is very small and thin allowing it to slip through little hands while trying to pull it.
Overall a wonderful toy, not only for the balls that come with it but for anything else that your little puts on it!

Fisher-Price Roll-A-Rounds Twirlin' Whirlin' Turtle Review

(More customer reviews)My baby LOVES this toy. Once he discovered pushing the head on the turtle makes the music play and the balls spins, this has become one of his many "jobs" throughout the day. I have not found the head to be too difficult for him to push, if fact I think it has just the right amount of resistance, at least for my little guy!
This toy has been great for helping reinforce "cause and effect" in his little life! It is fun to watch his reaction when he pushes the turtles head!
It is interactive enough to be inviting on a daily basis but not overwhelming!
I catch him sitting and holding the little balls and looking at the "things" inside of them. It is so cute.
I keep the turtle on the floor in one of his "play areas". We play with it daily.
I have found it to be durable. It is crawled over and "beaten" with rattles and other toys and it still works and looks new!
I am thrilled with this toy and not sorry I purchased it!

(More customer reviews)I was awaiting the release of this toy. He loves his blocks and block toys but none of the roll-a-rounds toys were his type. So he had about 25 balls but no toy to go with them. This looked perfect! He enjoys it but not like I thought he would (he LOVES balls). Here are my problems with it.
(1) The middle hole, it drops down to make the pendulum swing and more then half of the time, the ball gets stuck at that point.
(2) The balls get stuck coming out of that hole as well...
(3) The head comes off real easily and its never on the toy (he takes it off every time especially since its easy to get off)
(4) kind of boring... thought there would be a spiral slide of some variety as kids love that.
(5) music & lights are nothing special either.
I usually LOVE FP toys and we own sooo many. I am happy with my incredi-table and with the wagon for the blocks. This one just wasn't worth t he money.

Well, we're on boy #3 that is using this toy. It's held up extremely well and even my oldest plays with it still. The balls still get stuck... now there is a whole other element to getting stuck as they loves to put their cars in it (down the slide through teh mouth, down the block-slide...). Guess it was worth the money after all (and not what it's listed here as..)

Touch & Tickle Rounds Review

(More customer reviews)I have a 10 month old who has played with both the square and round versions of these toys and the round ones are definitely more fun. Despite the fact they can roll across the room, their tendency to move out of reach for baby encourages reaching, stretching, and movement. The toys are colourful, nicely textured, and many have fun sounds. I'd recommend shopping around for these however. I just bought 18 of them for $10.40 at BJs, and have a nice assortment including some with ribbons, very nice primary colour patterns, and fun noises.
Highly recommended product although I'd like to see Fisher Price develop a few more play-sets that can use them beyond what they currently have, which are a bit boring. I hide these in boxes, under pillows, and inside some toys with pockets to encourage exploration.

(More customer reviews)My son received this set of Roll-A-Rounds when he was around 3 months old. Though he as too small to play with them on his own, he enjoyed watching us shake or roll them and listening to the different sounds. As he got older and was able to reach for things, he started pushing and batting at the balls, which was rewarded by a sound (jingling, rattling, etc...). When he was able to sit up, he began trying to hold the balls in his hands, chew on them, roll them, shake them, and all sorts of other things. At around 9 months, we purchased the Swirlin Gumball Machine, which he loves. Now, at 13 months old, he still loves these toys - we roll them and talk about the sounds the make and put them in and out of all kinds of containers.
This set includes 6 clear plastic balls with interesting colors, shapes, and different "noisemakers" in them. Don't worry - they are not obnoxiously loud (unless you have wood floors and your child enjoys throwing the balls, like mine does!). The noises include a jingly bell, clanging cymbals, a slide whistle, rattles, and kind of clinking plastic noise (they're easier to listen to than describe!). The great thing is that baby's slightest movements are rewarded with a sound, and they're the perfect size for little hands to grasp. As baby gets older, you can talk about cause & effect, different sounds, learn to roll back & forth, and all sorts of other things. I did rate this as a 5 for educational value, but as with most toys, I think that it is only a great educational tool if an adult is involved in some of the playtime.
Another bonus with this toy is that they are compatible with all of the other Fisher Price Roll-A-Rounds playsets. My baby loves these toys, and I would suggest them (and other Roll-A-Rounds toys) for exploring babies of all ages!

(More customer reviews)Believe it or not, if you are out shopping for balls this size they are VERY hard to find . . . so I was THRILLED to come across these. They are much more fun and interesting than anything I could have thought up- I personally was just looking for a pack of plain solid colored balls because my son (9 months old at the time) was obsessed with the ones at his friend's house that come with the "Stand Up Ball Blast" (also by Fisher Price). I was looking only for the balls because he wasn't interested in the "Stand Up Ball Blast." After I took these balls out of the package at home, my son spent the rest of the night crawling around chasing them. He was ENTRALLED by them. He is now 14 months old and still plays with them every day. For more than a dollar a piece, they are a little pricey, but WELL worth it!!! (I only gave 4 stars for durability because they have become pretty stratched up from rolling on our wood floors. I imagine this wouldn't be a problem if you have carpet.) Buy these today- you (and your child) won't regret it!!!
