Well he also used Deadman as a stage name when he was alive as a trapeze artist too (which seems to be a bad idea to me and considering he was murdered I'm going to say I'm right). He's a ghost who can posses other beings and one of the mystical beings of the DC Universe. He works for a DC goddess, helps superheroes on occasion and often greets the dead in the afterlife.
For kids:
They might know Deadman. He appeared in an episode of Batman the Brave and the Bold and helped the bat family out against some Black Lanterns recently. If they are not familiar though it's hard to say how they'll feel. Just looking at the figure he looks more like a villain than a hero and it's not immediately apparent he's a ghost either - plus he's got a weird collar. He's not a big "super" looking dude either. I'd say medium to low on the kid scale.
For adults:
The body is a thin version of the basic DCU super body. He's got a wiry look to him befitting a trapeze artist. There's a good deal of detail sculpted into his exposed chest, his neck and his face. The problem is they've gone with a screaming/scowling face with open mouth and this plus the vertical cheek lines - while good detail - make him look more like some zombie than like Boston Brand. As a character he's usually pretty congenial and friendly so I don't know why he's so mad here. Also, I like details like big crazy collars but his is not working so well. Maybe it's just mine but instead of the tips spreading out making the collar a "V" they go almost straight up making his collar more of a cylinder. If I spread it out with my fingers it looks much better and maybe I can "hot water" it into a better look but as it is he looks more like he's wearing one of those cones dogs have to wear from the vet sometimes.
He wears a dark red outfit with a bright red belt, darker red gloves and boots (reg. version) and his skin is pale (Borg) white. He's got the "D" on his stomach, his mouth is painted black with little white teeth and there's a hint of black circles around his white eyes. All in all he's very clean. The variant version sports translucent red arms and legs from the knees and elbows down like he's slightly fading at the extremities. This is a subtle thing but looks pretty good.
If you're familiar with the DCU bodies you won't be surprised in articulation. A limited ball neck and ball and pin shoulders, pin elbows, cut wrists, ab crunch, cut waist, the nice hip joints that allow front, back and out motion without being balls so not hurting the look, cut thighs, pin knees and pin ankles.
He only comes with his piece of Kilowog but it is the right arm with big green power ring so is a cool piece.
He's a nice figure but has some issues holding him back, the scowling face and note quite right collar. On the flip side if you know the character it's pretty cool to have the figure and the variant ups the cool factor a bit with the translucent limbs. I'll have to go average overall.

The collect and connect (CC) is Green Lantern Kilowog and color me impressed. I didn't know what to expect but they went with the huge and intimidating Kilowog here. He's several inches taller than the standard figures and is simply massive. He of course also has all the standard joints and the head pops on to a cool slider pin/ball joint. There is lots of detail in his face and he's very determined looking like he's about to whip a recruit into shape. He is certainly a 5 star CC.

Who's afraid of a ghost? This striking 7-inch scale Deadman Action Figure from Mattel and the DC Universe features vibrant color and lots of detail. Nicely articulated, the ghost of former trapeze artist Boston Brand also includes a piece of Kilowog. Fear him not. Order him instead!
