My kids have logged countless hours kicking it against the front door (in the hallway where they're allowed to use it). It has a nice bounce and the feeling and weight of it are much better than any nerfball. If you have kids that love balls and, like mine, spend alot of time indoors in the frosty winter, this ball will save your sanity. Yes, it will still knock over a lamp, but it really won't hurt a smaller child's face or the dog if it hits them.
