(More customer reviews)Our two-year-old boy recently had a birthday party. One of his gifts was a Crocodile Creek Solar System Ball (5"). I'm not certain why this particular ball was chosen, but perhaps it's because of my own interest in the solar system and the giver might have considered it as a good educational toy for the boy. I'll certainly use it for that. In any case, it's a sturdy inflated rubber ball with a textured surface which makes it easy to grip. The ball is blue and has various solar system objects (Planets, satellites, a comet, a spacecraft, possibly a couple asteroids and the sun) imprinted on it. The boy likes it. He carries it around and throws it from time to time. The ball is hefty enough that it could knock objects off of shelves and tables, so it takes a bit of control of the child's play and it might be best to use it as an outdoor toy. It's an interesting toy and I expect it will get a lot of use.
