(More customer reviews)This toy is FUN! I was kind of wondering how nerf material would fly in a slingshot. How? Nicely! The nerf balls are actually coated with a tougher material that really allows these things to fly. So much so that I did say the old "don't point them at each other" to the kids, 5 and 3. Now they're not strong enough to pull this thing back and get it to fly anywhere near as fast as it could. But when I gave it a shot, modestly pulling the ball back got it going REAL well. Really, though, unless at point blank range, you're not going to do any harm to anyone, even a face shot. And certainly not running around shooting them at each other if your kids are older. As I said, mine are 5 and 3 so right up in your face and let 'em have it is a possibility if restrictions are not set right off the bat. Of course that doesn't stop me from sling'n' one at their butts once in a while! Nice example, Dad! Kidding aside, these things would be absolutely perfect for between 6 and 8 year olds.
